Solae Global Headquarters

Solae’s commitment to environmental stewardship is reflected in the design and construction strategies Clayco used throughout the project.

CRG did a property selection analysis and recommended Center of Research and Technology Excellence (CORTEX). The site was chosen in the Cortex redevelopment area in the City of St. Louis and with it came many challenges. This was completed during Solae’s change of headquarters in 2006.

Tax abatement for a period of 10 years was achieved through the use of Chapter 353 Redevelopment Program. In addition, CRG negotiated with the City to allow Solae to relocate and maintain intact its Chapter 100 tax credit program for personal property, which under normal circumstances would have been recaptured because of the move.
