The Den is a contemporary student housing development in Columbia, Missouri that began in partnership between Optimus and Gilbane Development. The project is located south of the campus of the University of Missouri, Columbia. The Den features 552 beds located within a mix of 158 two and four-bedroom apartments. The complex houses four buildings surrounding several internal private courtyards and outdoor activity areas.
The grounds for the central clubhouse include a pool, volleyball courts, bocce ball, and outdoor kitchen and firepits. The clubhouse also features a large club room with lounge seating, projection TV and kitchen area available to reserve for social gatherings. Each apartment includes high-end furnishings with each bedroom having its own private bathroom. Each unit includes big-screen, flat-panel TVs, internet access, and a full-size washer and dryer. Construction was completed on The Den in the Spring of 2014 and opened to students in August, 2014.
