Shawn Clark serves as Chief Executive Officer at CRG, bringing over 16 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Shawn’s key responsibilities include developing strategic plans and ensuring their successful implementation, overseeing investment management activities, and fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork. His expertise also extends to overseeing deal structuring, project-level financing, development management, and asset management.
Under Shawn’s strategic direction, CRG has significantly expanded its national footprint across industrial, residential, and student housing developments, boasting seven regional offices. His leadership has led to the formation of five fund vehicles and the successful completion of over $7 billion in transaction activity, including 80+ industrial, multifamily, student housing, and office projects.
Shawn holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from DePaul University and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University.
His passion for making a positive impact extends beyond his professional life. Shawn is the founder of Illumination, an immersive theatrical event that raises awareness and funds for rare disease research. Since its inception in 2016, Illumination has raised $9.8 million to support its vital mission.
In addition to his philanthropic endeavors, Shawn is an active Steering Committee member for the Chicago Real Estate Awards – an event that raises funds to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. In 2023, Shawn was named to Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” list and one of the “Best Bosses” by GlobeSt.com.
