CRG To Build New Spec Distribution Facility, The Cubes at Inland Woods, in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina
CRG follows success at The Cubes at Fort Prince and The Cubes at Inland 85 with third speculative development in Greenville-Spartanburg market
Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C. – CRG, the Chicago-based national real estate development and investment firm, announced today that they will break ground on The Cubes at Inland Woods – a 430,700 square foot speculative distribution center in Duncan, SC. The 40-acre Project is anticipated to open in early January of 2022 and will benefit from the rapid growth of Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina market.
The Cubes at Inland Woods is an extension of CRG’s strategy and commitment towards motivating additional economic development in the booming market of Greenville-Spartanburg.. The Cubes at Inland Woods marks CRG’s third speculative industrial park in the greater Greenville-Spartanburg area. The Project follows the momentum generated by previous project commencement at The Cubes at Fort Prince, and the recent development, leasing, and sale activity of The Cubes at Inland 85. The Cubes at Inland 85 included two speculative developments, one that was expanded to 1.35 million square feet and leased to Lowe’s and one that was expanded to 1.4 million square feet and leased to Techtronic Industries Co., Ltd.
“Since initially breaking ground in Greenville-Spartanburg in 2018, we’ve been rewarded for our strong belief in the expansionary growth opportunities within the market, and are confident that The Cubes at Inland Woods will build on this momentum while meeting the demand for space in an area where fewer sites of this quality are available,” stated Mike Demperio, CRG partner and executive vice president of the Southeast region at CRG. “Users demandr easy access to transportation, proximity to major population centers and a strong labor pool in this market, and we are excited to add a project that meet those needs. We are highly invested in Greenville-Spartanburg and look forward to breaking ground on Inland Woods in the new year.”
The Cubes at Inland Woods will offer 36’ clear height, an ESFR sprinkler system, 119 dock doors and four drive-in doors. The Project will also include 127 trailer spaces and 224 auto spaces. CRG’s parent company, Clayco, is the design builder and Lamar Johnson Collaborative is the architect.
Located less than one mile from the Interstate 85 interchange, The Cubes at Inland Woods offers proximity to the Greenville Inland Port and is adjacent to the largest BMW Manufacturing Plant in the United States.
Leasing of the Project is managed by Garrett Scott, John Montgomery, and Brockton Hall of Colliers. Additional leasing information for The Cubes at Inland Woods is available at Colliers.com.
